Brian Eno and Roger Eno's Live At The Acropolis concert film, based on the brothers' only joint live show at The Acropolis, will be screened at selected theaters in Britain on March 2.
The concert was filmed at Odeon of Herodes Atticus amphitheatre in Athens in August 2021 as part of the annual Epidaurus Festival.
The Enos performed music from their 2020 collaborative album Mixing Colours and other fan favorites. They were joined by Roger's daughter Cecily Eno on vocals, ukulele and mandolin. Leo Abrahams played guitar, while Peter Chilvers played keyboards.
"I don't perform live very often, but I couldn't miss the chance to perform in what may be the world's oldest theatre, located at the birthplace of Western Civilisation," Brian Eno said.
"I'm grateful to Roger, Cecily, Leo and Peter who made this rare appearance memorable for me, and to the great film-maker Tilo Krause who managed to make a beautiful documentation of the whole event," added the composer, record producer and visual artist.
Roger said it was an exceptional honour to perform in the amphitheatre, which is a UNESCO Heritage Site. This film captures the moment accurately and sensitively, according to him.
"But it is more than a mere memento or a document - it is a work of beauty in itself that can now be shared worldwide," added the music composer.
