Iranian American businessman Siamak Namazi has started a seven-day hunger strike in an Iranian jail and appealed to President Joe Biden to make efforts to liberate him from Iran's custody.
A press release issued by Namazi's lawyer Jared Genser says, "Siamak remains behind bars in Iran's notorious Evin Prison, where he has endured prolonged solitary confinement, denial of access to medical care, and physical and psychological torture."
