Lil Yachty has announced his fifth studio album, Let's Start Here, will arrive on January 27 via Motown Records/Quality Control Music.

"Let's start here. 1/27. LP," he captioned the cover art on Twitter. "Thank You 4 Your Patience friends." The post featured artwork of a distorted illustration of men and women in suits.

Let's Start Here marks Lil Yachty's first solo album since 2020's Lil Boat 3. It also follows his 2021 mixtape, Michigan Boy Boat.

In an interview with Ice Box last year, the rapper revealed he was going in a different direction with the sound of his upcoming studio effort.

"My new album is a non-rap album," he declared. "It's alternative, it's sick… It's like a psychedelic alternative project. It's different. It's all live instrumentation."
