Biden Urges GOP Congressmen To Act To Ban Assault Weapons After Deadly Louisville Shooting

President Joe Biden has called on Republicans in Congress to work together with Democrats to take action to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, to require safe storage of firearms, to require background checks for all gun sales, and to eliminate liability protections for gun manufacturers.

Biden repeated his call after five people were killed and nine others were injured in a mass shooting at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky, Monday.
