After moving mostly higher over the course of the previous session, stocks have seen further upside in morning trading on Tuesday. The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 have once again reached their best intraday levels in over a year, while the Dow has set a new four-month intraday high.
Currently, the major averages are off their highs of the session but still in positive territory. The Dow is up 178.79 points or 0.5 percent at 34,245.12, the Nasdaq is up 73.14 points or 0.5 percent at 13,535.06 and the S&P 500 is up 26.77 points or 0.6 percent at 4,365.70.

Factory orders and jobs report dominated the news flow in the U.S. Similarly, industrial production data from German garnered attention in Europe. In Asia, purchasing managers’ survey results from China and the central bank decision from Australia were in focus.
