Quavo recently took to Instagram to announce he will release his solo album, Rocket Power, on August 4 via Quality Control Music/Motown/Capitol Records.
The album is being billed as a tribute to Takeoff, and the title itself is an homage to the late rapper, whose solo debut was The Last Rocket.
Quavo shared a trailer for the upcoming Rocket Power record featuring the rapper facing off with a rocket in the desert, gripping Takeoff's Migos chain.
In the trailer, Quavo mentions Offset's departure from the group, saying "my cousin jumped out the car, I had to keep goin'."
"This Album Is Embodying All My Emotions," Quavo said. "Through the process of healing I've learned to turn tragedy into triumph. I had to dig deep into my purpose and find the power to keep stri ving. To my fans, thanks for being patient wit me and supporting Us. To my FAMILY, even when times get hard we kno our MAIN mission is to keep the Rocket name ALIVE."
