U.K.-based Real Estate Investment Trust Shaftesbury Capital PLC (CCPPF) on Thursday reported a surge in profits and revenues in 2023.
Profit for the year was 750.4 million pounds as compared with a loss of 211.8 million pounds in the prior year.
EPRA earnings per share dropped to 2.7 pence, from 6.7 pence in the prior year.
Underlying earnings per share however rose to 3.7 pence, from 2.2 pence in the prior year.
Revenue increased to 195.1 million pounds in 2023, from 74.1 million pounds in 2022.
The all-share merger of Capital & Counties Properties PLC (Capco) and Shaftesbury PLC to create Shaftesbury Capital PLC was completed on 6 March 2023, falling within the said reporting period. The results reflect the standalone performance of the former for the period 1 January to 6 March and the performance of the merged business, Shaftesbury Capital, between 6 March 2023 and 31 December 2023. The 2022 comparative information relates to Capco pre-merger.
