Bakkavor Group PLC (BAKK.L), provider of fresh prepared food, Tuesday reported profit before tax from continuing operations of 70.3 million pounds for the full year, significantly higher than 18.1 million pounds a year, mainly due to exceptional items.
Excluding items, adjusted profit before tax was 67.5 million pounds, slightly lower than 69.8 million pounds in the previous year.
Net profit increased to 53.9 million pounds or 9.2p per share from 12.5 million pounds or 2.1p per share last year.
Adjusted earnings declined to 51.1 million pounds or 8.7p per share from 54.8 million pounds or 9.3p per share a year ago.
Revenue for the year grew to 2.204 billion pounds from 2.139 billion pounds in the previous year.
The company has proposed a final dividend of 4.37 pence per share, which will be paid on May 29.
For fiscal 2024, Bakkavor expects revenue to grow 1 percent-2 percent.
