Dassault Annual Profit Slips, Lifts Dividend; Expects 2024 Revenue To Improve

Dassault Aviation SA (DUAVF.PK), a French maker of military aircraft and business jets, on Wednesday registered a decline in net profit for the full year, amidst global geopolitical conflicts, supply chain issues that arouse during Covid-19.

For the 12-month period, Dassault reported a net income of 693.398 million euros or 8.57 euros per share, lesser than 716.225 million euros or 8.62 euros per share, reported last year.

Thales' contribution to the Group's net income was 259 million euros as against 275 million euros in 2022.

Excluding items, earnings stood at 886.295 million euros or 10.95 euros per share, higher than 830.244 million euros or 9.99 euros per share a year ago.

Operating income was at 349.477 million euros, compared with previous year's 591.403 million euros.

Excluding items, operating income moved down to 349.160 million euros from 572.315 million euros.

Order intake plunged to 8.253 billion from previous year's 20.954 billion euros. However, backlog increased to 38.508 billion euros from 35.008 billion euros in 2022.

Sales were 4.804 billion euros, down from last year's 6.949 billion euros.

For the full year, Dassault plans to pay a dividend of 3.37 euros per share, higher than last year's 3 euros per share.

The company said that on March 5, the Board decided to cancel 1,850,554 shares.

Looking ahead, for the full year, the Group expects an increase in revenue at around 6 billion euros range.
