Irish Continental Group Prel. Profit Rises, But Revenue Down

Irish Continental Group (ICGC.L), a shipping and transport company, Thursday reported preliminary profit before tax of 63.3 million euros for the full year, slightly higher than 62.5 million euros in the previous year.

Net profit increased to 61.6 million euros or 35.7 cents per share from 59.8 million euros or 33.2 cents per share last year.

Excluding one-time items, adjusted earnings were 60.3 million euros or 34.9 cents per share, higher than 59.7 million euros or 33.1 cents per share a year ago.

Revenue for the year, however, declined to 572 million euros from 584.9 million euros a year ago.

The Board will propose a final dividend of 9.93 cent per share, to be paid on June 7 to shareholders of record on May 17.
