Helios Underwriting plc (HUW.L) said that Martin Reith has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer, to pursue other opportunities. The search for his successor has commenced.

Additionally, Michael Wade, currently serving as Non-Executive Chairman, will assume the role of Executive Chairman immediately. Nigel Hanbury, presently Executive Deputy Chairman, will transition to the position of Non-Executive Deputy Chairman.

Responding to recent press speculation, Helios confirmed that it has explored the potential of establishing a new 'follow only' syndicate at Lloyd's of London, but it has decided not to pursue this concept in order to focus exclusively on supporting its spread portfolio.
