Aker Solutions ASA (AKKVF.PK) Friday reported profit before tax of NOK 668 million for the second quarter, significantly higher than NOK 93 million in the previous-year quarter, mainly driven by growth in revenue.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization or EBITDA grew to NOK 1.206 billion from NOK 193 million a year ago.
EBITDA excluding special items increased to NOK 1.2 billion from NOK 218 million in the same period last year.
Net income from continuing operations increased to NOK 532 million from NOK 27 million last year.
Net income including continuing and discounting operations, however, declined to NOK 532 million or NOK 1.10 per share from NOK 539 million or NOK 1,08 per share a year ago.
Net income excluding special items rose to NOK 862 million or NOK 1.78 per share from NOK 571 million or NOK 1.14 per share a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter increased to NOK 12.826 billion from NOK 8.881 billion in the previous year.
Revenue excluding special items of NOK 12.827 billion was up from NOK 8.826 billion last year.
