Telstra Group Limited reported that its profit attributable to equity holders of the company for the full year ended 30 June 2024 declined to A$1.62 billion or 14.0 cents per share from A$1.93 billion or 16.7 cents per share in the previous year. The latest year's results included A$715 million related to impairments and restructuring costs.
Underlying earnings per share rose 5.7 percent to 18.5 Australian cents from the prior year.
Total income, excluding finance income, for the year was A$23.48 billion compared to A$23.25 billion in the prior year.
Looking ahead for fiscal year 2025, the company projects underlying EBITDA to be in the range of A$8.5 billion to A$8.7 billion compared to A$8.2 billion reported in fiscal year 2024.
On 15 August 2024, the Directors of Telstra Group Limited resolved to pay a fully franked final dividend of 9 cents per share in line with the interim dividend for the first half of the financial year.
The total dividend for fiscal year 2024 is 18 cents per share representing a 5.9 per cent increase on the prior corresponding period. The total dividend represents a 128 per cent payout ratio on earnings per share and 97 percent payout ratio on underlying earnings per share.
