Gamma Communications Plc (GAMA.L), a provider of voice, data, mobile, and other communication services, on Tuesday posted a rise in earnings and revenue for the first-half, supported by acquisitions. For the six-month period to June 30, the company reported a pre-tax profit of 48.5 million pounds, compared with 43.5 million pounds last year
Adjusted pre-tax income rose to 56 million pounds from previous year's 48.3 million pounds.
Net profit stood at 35.8 million pounds or 36.7 pence per share as against last year's 33 million pounds or 33.8 pence per share.
Excluding items, earnings stood at 42.5 pence per share, higher than 37.5 pence per share a year ago.
Operating income was 45.7 million pounds, up from 42.2 million pounds a year ago.
EBITDA moved up to 61.6 million pounds from prior year's 56.5 million pounds.
Excluding items, EBITDA was 62.2 million pounds, compared with 56.5 million pounds in 2023.
Revenue improved to 282.5 million pounds from 256.2 million pounds a year ago.
The company will pay an interim dividend of 6.5 pence per share on October 17 to shareholders on the register as of September 20.
Looking ahead, for the full year, Gamma, said: "Following a strong first half performance, growth is expected to continue across the second half and Adjusted EBITDA is now anticipated to be in the top half and Adjusted EPS at the top of the range of market expectations."
