Neil Young is celebrating 50 years of his 1974 album, On the Beach, with a limited-edition vinyl reissue.
The 50th-anniversary limited edition will be released on clear vinyl at the Greedy Hand Store at Neil Young Archives in addition to standard music retailers on November 8.
On the Beach is Young's fifth studio album released by Reprise Records in July 1974. The album is the third of the so-called "Ditch Trilogy" of albums that Young recorded following the major success of 1972's Harvest.
On the Beach was inspired by his feelings of retreat, alienation, and melancholy in response to this success.
The album features contributions from The Band's Rick Danko and Levon Helm, his Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young collaborators Graham Nash and David Crosby, and Crazy Horse's Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina.
