Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that occurs primarily in females following a near-normal development in the first 2 years of life. Its symptoms include loss of communication skills, gait abnormalities, and stereotypic hand movements, such as wringing, clapping, or tapping. Daybue, which received FDA approval in March 2023, is the only drug approved for treating Rett syndrome in adults and pediatric patients of age 2 years and older.
The stock we are bringing to your attention today is that of an Australian biotech Neuren Pharmaceuticals (NEU), the developer of Daybue.
