Eurofins Scientific (ERFSF.PK), a company focused on bio-analytical testing, said on Monday that it has inked a deal with Synlab to acquire its clinical diagnostics operations in Spain.
Financial terms of the deal are not yet known.
Upon completion of the deal, to be closed in 2025,Eurofins noted that it "will become a leading clinical diagnostics operator in Spain with a significant presence and capacity to provide services to public and private clients and cover all regions in the country."
Synlab's clinical diagnostics operations in Spain provide clinical diagnostics testing, including genetics and anatomical pathology services, with revenue of around 140 million euros in 2023.
Post transaction, healthcare consumers in Spain will have access to an extensive network of laboratories and blood collection points with the capacity to serve over 10 million patients and process 100 million laboratory tests annually.
The Eurofins network's clinical diagnostics operations in Spain are led by Eurofins Megalab.
