Morrissey has announced three shows for later this month, including a New Year's Eve gig in Los Angeles.

The former Smiths frontman announced that he would be playing two gigs on December 28 and 29 at the United Theater on Broadway and a special New Year's Eve show on December 31st at the Hollywood Palladium. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

A post stated that "Morrissey will be leading the countdown from stage, complete with midnight balloon drop."

The singer and songwriter just completed a North American tour back in November. No openers have been announced for the concerts at the United Theater on Broadway, but Mariachi El Bronx will open the New Year's Eve gig.

Last month, Morrissey claimed that a war on "free speech" has prevented him from releasing any new music, mostly referring to the currently unreleased album Bonfire Of The Teenagers. He recorded the album between 2020 and 2021, although it has remained shelved by Capitol Records.
