Gain Therapeutics Begins Phase 1b Trial Of GT-02287 In Australia For Parkinson's Disease

Gain Therapeutics, Inc. (GANX), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, on Monday, announced the initiation of a Phase 1b clinical trial for its lead candidate, GT-02287, in individuals with Parkinson's disease, with or without a GBA1 mutation.

The company has received approval to begin enrolling participants for the trial in Australia, with enrollment expected to be completed by spring 2025. Data from the study is anticipated by mid-2025.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
