MD Anderson Enters 5-Year Deal With Myriad Genetics To Develop MRD Assay

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Myriad Genetics, Inc. (MYGN), Tuesday announced a five-year partnership to boost the clinical evaluation and development of the latter's molecular residual disease or MRD assay.

Under the collaboration, the parties will explore how ultrasensitive Precise MRD tests can enhance treatment strategies for providers and improve patient outcomes.

Moreover, the parties will design both retrospective and prospective studies to investigate the tests utility in breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and gynecological cancers.

Currently, Myriad Genetics's stock is trading at C$0.43, up 7.5 percent on the Canadian Sec-Free Realtime.
