Polyrizon Ltd. (PLRZ), a development-stage biotech company focused on intranasal hydrogel technology, announced on Thursday that it has initiated the preliminary GMP manufacturing process for its PL-14 allergy blocker, in preparation for a clinical trial set for 2025.

The company is collaborating with Eurofins CDMO Amatsiaquitaine S.A.S. to ensure high-quality production that meets regulatory standards for the trial.

PL-14 is being developed as an innovative nasal spray to block allergens and offer a novel solution for allergy relief. The upcoming trial will evaluate the safety and efficacy of the product.

This move marks a significant step as Polyrizon aims to address the growing global demand for effective allergy treatments.

The nasal spray market is projected to exceed $23 billion by 2029, positioning Polyrizon to capitalize on the expanding market opportunity.

Polyrizon's proprietary Capture and Contain hydrogel technology is designed to act as a barrier in the nasal cavity, potentially offering enhanced protection against viruses and allergens.

The company's collaboration with Eurofins CDMO will help support the manufacturing efforts required to advance the clinical trial and subsequent commercialization of PL-14.

Currently, PLRZ is trading at $1.47 down by 0.67%.
