Wesfarmers HY Profit Rises

Australian retailer Wesfarmers Ltd. (WES.AX,WFAFF.PK) reported that its profit attributable to equity holders of the parent for the half-year ended 31 December 2024 rose to A$1.467 billion or 129.4 cents per share from A$1.425 billion or 125.8 cents per share in the same period last year.

Revenue for the period grew to A$23.49 billion from A$22.67 billion in the prior year.

The Wesfarmers Board has determined to pay an ordinary interim dividend of A$0.95 per share. The interim dividend will be paid on 1 April 2025 to shareholders on the company's register on 26 February 2025, the record date for the interim dividend.

The Group expects net capital expenditure to be between A$1.10 billion and A$1.30 billion for the 2025 financial year.

Group earnings in fiscal year 2026 will benefit from the wind down of Catch by the end of fiscal year 2025.
