Laureate Education Q4 Profit Climbs, Issues FY25 Outlook; Stock Up In Pre-market - Update

Laureate Education Inc (LAUR), while reporting higher fourth-quarter results, on Thursday issued fiscal 2025 forecast, expecting growth in adjusted EBITDA, a key earnings metric.

In pre-market activity on the Nasdaq, Laureate Education shares were gaining around 2.8 percent to trade at $20.69.

For the year, Laureate expects revenues in the range of $1.55 billion to $1.57 billion, reflecting a slight decline of 1 percent to flat performance on an as-reported basis. Revenues would grow 6 percent to 7 percent on an organic constant currency basis, or 7 percent to 8 percent growth excluding the impact from campus consolidations.

In fiscal 2024, revenues were $1.57 billion.

Total enrollments are expected to be in the range of 489,000 to 495,000 students, reflecting growth of 4 percent-5 percent from 2024.

Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be in the range of $467 million to $477 million, reflecting growth of 4 percent-6 percent on an as-reported basis from last year's $450.1 million. The growth would be 11 percent-13 percent on an organic constant currency basis.

In its fourth quarter, Laureate Education's earnings totaled $93.6 million or $0.62 per share, compared with $41.9 million, or $0.26 per share, last year.

The company's revenue for the period rose 3.4 percent to $423.4 million from $409.4 million last year.
