Lower Open Called For China Stock Market

The China stock market has finished lower in back-to-back sessions, shedding almost 35 points or 1 percent in that span. The Shanghai Composite Index now rests just beneath the 3,350-point plateau and it's likely to drop again at Wednesday's open.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative, with weakness expected from the technology and oil companies. The European and U.S. markets were mostly lower and the Asian bourses figure to follow that lead.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
