Qantas Group (QAN.AX,QUBSF.PK) reported that its profit attributable to its members for the half year ended 31 December 2024 rose to A$923 million or 59.2 cents per share from A$873 million or 51.5 cents per share in the same period last year. The performance was driven by the strength of the Group's dual brand strategy with demand for travel remaining strong across all customer segments. Qantas and Jetstar's domestic and international businesses delivered increased profitability carrying almost 10 per cent more customers.
For the first time since fiscal year 2019, Qantas will pay dividends to shareholders, with a A$250 million base dividend and A $150 million special dividend, both fully franked at 26.4 Australian cents per share.
