Central Asia Metals Annual Profit, Revenue Rise

Central Asia Metals Plc (CAML.L) Thursday reported profit before tax from continuing operations of $76.71 million for the full year, higher than $64.89 million in the previous year.

Operating profit increased to $80.58 million from $69.55 million last year.

Profit for the year from continuing operations was $50.81 million or 26.94 cents per share from $37.18 million or 19.64 cents per share a year ago.

Net profit increased to $50.86 million or 26.84 cents per share from $37.05 million or 19.61 cents per share last year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation or EBITDA was $101.8 million, slightly above last year's $101 million.

Revenue for the year grew to $214.44 million from $203.46 million in the prior year.

The Board has proposed a final dividend of 9 pence per share.
