BioMarin Now Targets $3 Bln Revenue Goal For 2025

Shares of BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (BMRN) are trading at a roughly 39% discount to their 52-week high of $94.85, reached in August 2024, hovering around the $58 mark.

This global biotechnology company, developing targeted therapies that address the root cause of genetic conditions, has eight commercial therapies and a strong clinical and preclinical pipeline. Earlier this month, it expanded its late-stage pipeline through the acquisition of Inozyme Pharma Inc. (INZY). The acquisition brought in INZ-701, an enzyme replacement therapy currently in phase III development for ENPP1 Deficiency, a rare, serious, and progressive genetic condition that affects blood vessels, soft tissues, and bones. Data from the first phase III pivotal study of INZ-701 in children is expected in early 2026, with potential regulatory approval in 2027.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
