South32 Ltd. (SOUHY.PK,SHTLF.PK), an Australian mining and metals company, reported a 6% increase in aluminium production for fiscal year 2025. The rise was driven by continued ramp-up at Brazil Aluminium and stable operations at Mozal Aluminium, which operated near nameplate capacity during the quarter. Mozal's performance followed successful mitigation of impacts from civil unrest in Mozambique.

Sierra Gorda payable copper equivalent production increased by 20% in fiscal year 2025, exceeding guidance by 4%. The company received US$54 million in distributions from Sierra Gorda in the quarter, bringing total returns to US$176 million (South32 share) in fiscal year 2025.

According to the company, Manganese production exceeded fiscal year 2025 production guidance by 9%, as Australia Manganese successfully completed its operational recovery plan and South Africa Manganese had a strong finish to the year.

Operating unit costs for fiscal year 2025 are expected to be in line with guidance, driven by strong operating performance and our continued focus on delivering cost efficiencies.
