Hochtief AG (HOCFF.PK), a German provider of infrastructure technology and construction services, said on Monday that it has bagged two building construction contracts with a total value of up to 130 million euros.
Under the first contract, the company will build a new research center on the campus of the University of Duisburg-Essen. The company will begin construction work in the late summer of 2025 and expects to complete it in spring 2028.
This new research center is a five-story building for interdisciplinary work in the fields of nano- and material sciences, energy, water, microbiome, protein, environmental, and chemical research.
Under the second contract, Hochtief will convert the former boiler house on the Mies van der Rohe campus in Krefeld into a center with state-of-the-art technology for concerts and special events.
