SCOR Reports Q2 Net Profit Of EUR 226 Mln

SCOR SE (SCR.PA) Thursday reported net income of 226 million euros or 1.26 euros per share for the second quarter, compared with net loss of 308 million euros or 1.72 euros per share in the same quarter a year ago.

On an adjusted basis, net income was 225 million euros or 1.26 euros per share compared with loss of 283 million euros or 1.58 euros per share last year.

Investment income on invested assets grew 14.3% to 210 million euros.

Operating income was 347 million euros versus 227 million euros loss a year ago.

Insurance revenue, however, decreased 6.5% to 3.819 billion euros from 4.085 billion euros in the previous year.

Gross written premiums fell 8.2% year-on-year to 4.661 billion euros.
