Lancashire H1 Profit Declines, But Revenue Up 8.9%

Lancashire Holdings Limited (LRE.L) Wednesday reported profit before tax of $118.6 million for the first half, lower than $213.6 million in the comparable period last year.

Net profit decreased to $109.2 million or $0.44 per share from $200.8 million or $0.82 per share last year.

Insurance revenue, however, grew 8.9% to $930.1 million from $854.1 million in the previous year.

Gross premiums written increased 5.8% year-on-year to $1.356 billion.
