Swire Properties Ltd. (SWPFY.PK) Thursday reported underlying profit of HK$4.420 billion for the first half, up 15% year-on-year.
The result mainly reflected gains from disposal of the company's interests in the Brickell City Centre retail mall in Miami, U.S.A., along with car parking spaces and certain shared facilities, as well as a parcel of land adjacent to Brickell City Centre.
Excluding one-off items, recurring underlying profit attributable to shareholders decreased by 4% to HK$3.420 billion from HK$3.570 billion last year, primarily reflecting a reduction in office rental income in Hong Kong.
Swire Properties declared a first interim dividend of HK$0.35 per share, a 3% increase from last year.
