Ukraine's Borders Must Not Be Changed By Force, European Leaders Tell Trump'

European leaders have told U.S. President Donald Trump that international borders must not be changed by force and Ukraine must have robust and credible security guarantees to defend its territorial integrity as part of any deal.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joined European leaders Wednesday for a virtual summit with Trump ahead of his meeting with his Russian counterpart.

Trump is scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday, to find ways for a Ukraine peace deal.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
