Card Factory plc (CARD.L), the UK's leading greeting card and celebration products retailer, has finalized its acquisition of funkypigeon.com Limited on August 14, following terms announced on July 29.
The purchase enhances Card Factory's position in the digital celebration market by integrating Funky Pigeon's technology and online expertise with its extensive store network and product portfolio.
CEO Darcy Willson-Rymer described the deal as a milestone toward building a scaled, competitive digital presence in the direct-to-recipient card and gifting segment. He welcomed Funky Pigeon employees to the group and emphasized plans to accelerate growth in the sector.
Card Factory, listed on the London Stock Exchange, did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.
CARD.L currently trades at £103.2 or 0.58% lower on the London Stock Exchange.
