Yatsen Holding Limited (YSG) released Loss for second quarter of -RMB17.668 million

The company's earnings totaled -RMB17.668 million, or -RMB0.01 per share. This compares with -RMB78.274 million, or -RMB0.04 per share, last year.

The company's revenue for the period rose 36.7% to RMB1.086 billion from RMB794.521 million last year.

Net loss per ADS narrowed to RMB 0.19 from a loss of RMB 0.77 per ADS a year ago. Adjusted profit per ADS stood at RMB 0.13 as against the prior year’s loss of RMB 0.67 per ADS.

Donghao Yang, CFO of Yatsen, said: "We delivered solid year-over-year growth in the second quarter, leveraging the tailwind of the June 18 shopping festival. Specifically, our color cosmetics brands have returned to a growth trajectory, while our skincare brands maintained strong performance."

Looking ahead, for the third quarter, Yatsen expects revenue of RMB 778.6 million to RMB 880.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of around 15% to 30%.

YSG was up by 3.86% at $10.06 in the pre-market trade on the New York Stock Exchange.
