Arbonia AG (ARBN.SW), a Swiss building supplier, on Tuesday reported higher net profit in its first half, while it slipped to a loss from continuing operations, amid improved sales.

Further, Arbonia reaffirmed its guidance for fiscal 2025, still expecting revenue growth of 3-5% and adjusted EBITDA of around 60 million francs.

The company added that it continues to stand by its 2029 medium-term guidance of net sales between 820 million francs and 850 million francs, with an EBITDA margin of 14-15%.

Looking forward, the company expects a significantly stronger second half, combined with revenue growth, increased earnings from newly won projects, the full impact of recent price increases, and a higher number of working days.

In its first half, net profit from total operations increased to 152.60 million Swiss francs from 41.01 million francs a year ago.

The earnings per share increased to 2.20 francs from 0.59 francs a year ago.

However, on a continuing operations basis, the company reported a net loss of 0.24 million francs, compared to profit of 23 million francs in the year ago.

Loss per share from continuing operations was 0.03, compared to profit of 0.33 per share a year ago.

The firm reported an adjusted net loss from continuing operations of 3.710 million francs, compared to profit of 0.20 million last year.

The EBIT decreased to 1.10 million francs from 25.21 million francs a year ago.

Adjusted EBIT loss was 0.73 million francs, narrower than loss of 1.03 million francs a year ago.

The EBITDA reduced to 27.90 million francs from 47.39 million francs in the year ago.

Whereas, adjusted EBITDA improved to 26.07 million francs from 21.15 million francs in the year ago.

The power outage at Dimoldura in Spain, increased marketing costs relating to Arbonia's first in-house congress, ArboniaNext, and structural adjustments in connection with the sale of the Climate division negatively impacted the overall result, stated the company.

However, net revenue increased 14.7% to 307.20 million francs from 267.76 million francs a year ago.

In the Swiss Market, Arbonia shares were trading 0.56% lower at 5.36 francs.
