EDAP TMS SA (EDAP), a global leader in robotic energy-based therapies, has signed a letter of intent with the European Investment Bank - EIB for a EUR 36 million credit facility.
The funding will support the expansion of the company's Focal One® Robotic HIFU platform in focal therapy, a rapidly growing treatment option for early-stage prostate cancer, and accelerate research into additional clinical applications. The facility is expected to close by the end of 2025, pending completion of final legal documentation.
EDAP's CEO, Ryan Rhodes, highlighted that the agreement provides a significant source of low-interest funding, strengthening the company's balance sheet and enabling flexible access to capital. He acknowledged EIB's longstanding role in advancing innovative medical technologies and expressed confidence that the financing will broaden physician and patient access to Focal One Robotic HIFU.
Tuesday, EDAP closed at $1.52, up 10.95%, and is trading after hours at $1.53, up 0.66%, on the NasdaqGM.
