Planet Labs PBC (PL) shares surged 36.99 percent to $8.95 on Monday, rising $2.42 after the company reported stronger second-quarter results. The stock opened at $7.70 and climbed as high as $8.98, compared with a previous close of $6.53 on the New York Stock Exchange. Trading volume reached 37.8 million shares, well above its average of 8.7 million. For the quarter ended July 31, 2025, Planet posted revenue of $73.4 million, up from $61.1 million a year earlier, while narrowing its net loss to $22.6 million from $38.7 million. Shares now trade at the top of their 52-week range of $1.79 to $8.98.
