Dunelm FY Profit Rises

Dunelm Group plc (DNLMY,DNLM.L), a British home furnishing retailer, on Tuesday reported preliminary higher profit for the 52 weeks ended June 28 compared with the previous year.

For the full year, profit before taxation increased to 211 million pounds from 205.4 million pounds in the previous year.

Profit for the period jumped to 156.3 million pounds from 151.2 million pounds in the same period last year.

Earnings per share were 76.8 pence versus 74.4 pence last year.

Operating profit increased to 222 million pounds from 213.3 million pounds in the prior year.

Revenue jumped to 1.77 billion pounds from 1.71 billion pounds in the previous year.

Further, the board proposed a final dividend of 28 pence per ordinary share for the period ended June 28, totaling 56.4 million pounds.

The dividend will be paid on November 25 to shareholders on record as of October 31. The shares will trade ex-dividend on October 30.

On Monday, Dunelm Group closed trading 1.31% higher at 1,241 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
