Supreme Court Stays Order Blocking DHS From Conducting Immigration Sweeps In LA

Issuing a stay in the case of Perdomo v. Noem, the U.S. Supreme Court has allowed the Department of Homeland Security to continue carrying out immigration operations in the Los Angeles area.

The court ruled 6-3 in favor of the Trump Administration. With its decision, the court stayed a ruling by federal judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong in July blocking DHS from conducting immigration sweeps in Southern California.
