Wickes Group H1 Results Up; Declares Interim Dividend

Wickes Group Plc (WIX.L) on Wednesday revealed improved profit in the first six months of 2025, helped by strong volume growth in Retail and Design & Installation Ranges divisions. While revenue climbed 6 percent from last year, the company also declared an interim dividend for the period.

The British home improvement retailer reported profit attributable to owners of the parent of 20.9 million pounds or 8.8 pence per share in the first half, higher than 16.8 million pounds or 6.8 pence per share in the same period a year ago.

On an adjusted basis, half-yearly profit was 22.9 million pounds or 9.8 pence per share, compared to 17.5 million pounds or 7.1 pence per share in the prior-year period.

During the six-month period, pre-tax profit climbed 5.7 percent to 24.2 million pounds from 22.9 million pounds recorded in the corresponding period last year. Adjusted profit before tax was 27.3 million pounds during the given period, compared to 23.4 million pounds recorded in the first half of fiscal 2024.

The company's total revenue for the first six months of the year rose to 847.9 million pounds from 803.2 million pounds, aided by good revenue growth in the Retail division.

According to Wickes Group, half-yearly operating profit climbed 6.0 percent to 37.0 million pounds from 34.9 million pounds in the same period a year ago. Adjusted operating profit was up 14.2 percent to 40.1 million pounds from 35.1 million pounds recorded in the first six months of last year.

The company said that its Board has declared an interim dividend of 3.6 pence per share, which is the same as last year. The interim dividend will be paid on November 7 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on October 3.
