Fintel H1 Profit Rises; Revenue Up 19%; Lifts Interim Dividend; Stock Up

Shares of Fintel Plc (FNTL.L), are climbing 5 percent higher on Tuesday's trading after the company reported higher profit in the first half, helped by good performance by its Software & Data division. Revenue was up 19 percent and the company also raised its interim dividend for the six-month period.

On the LSE, the stock is up 5 percent on Tuesday's trading at 226.12 pence.

The British management consulting company posted profit of 2.5 million pounds or 2.3 pence per share in the first six months, higher than 2.3 million pounds or 2.0 pence per share in the corresponding period last year.

On an adjusted basis, profit was 6.0 million pounds or 5.7 pence per share in the six-month period, compared to profit of 5.3 million pounds or 2.3 pence per share in the same period a year ago.

According to Fintel, pre-tax profit during the given period climbed to 3.8 million pounds from 3.4 million pounds in the first six months of fiscal 2024. Adjusted profit before tax was 8.0 million in the first six months, compared to 7.0 million pounds last year.

The company's half-yearly revenue rose to 42.4 million from 35.7 million in the prior-year period, aided by strategic acquisitions and new proposition launches.

Group EBITDA for the six-month period increased 27 percent to 8.6 million pounds from 6.8 million pounds in the same period of fiscal 2024. On an adjusted basis, EBITDA was up 17 percent to 11.2 million pounds from 9.6 million pounds recorded a year ago.

The company's Board declared an interim dividend of 1.3 pence per share, 8.3 percent higher than last year's 1.2 pence per share. The dividend will be paid on or around October 31 to shareholders on the register on September 26, 2024. The Board intends the ex-dividend date to be September 25.
