Solaris Secures Orders Worth Over EUR 80 Mln To Supply Electric Buses To Warsaw And Gdansk

Public transport vehicle manufacturer Solaris, a unit of CAF Group (CAF.MC), announced Tuesday two contracts worth over 80 million euros to supply electric buses to the cities of Warsaw and Gdansk.

Solaris has signed an agreement with the Polish operator MZA Warsaw for the supply of 79 electric buses. The contract includes 50 articulated Urbino 18 buses and 29 standard Urbino 12 buses, with an option for MZA Warsaw to purchase an additional 79 vehicles with a similar model mix.

In addition, Solaris will supply 30 electric buses to Gdansk, a port city on Poland's Baltic coast, comprising 18 standard 12-metre buses and 12 articulated 18-metre buses, scheduled for delivery in September next year.
