Sensorion SA (ALSEN.PA) on Wednesday said that its net loss widened in the first half of fiscal 2025, impacted by lower operating income and higher expenses. Pre-tax loss also increased from the first half of last year.
The French biotechnology company posted net loss of 16.01 million euros in the first half of the year, compared to loss of 13.90 million euros in the same period last year. During the six-month period, pre-tax current loss was 16.01 million euros, compared to pre-tax current loss of 13.80 million euros a year ago.
According to Sensorion, half-yearly operating loss widened to 16.81 million euros from 15.12 million euros in the corresponding period of fiscal 2024.
The company's operating income declined to 2.33 million euros from 3.33 million euros recorded in the prior-year period.
Separately, Sensorion said that it has achieved expedited enrollment completion of first two Cohorts in Phase 1/2 Audiogene clinical trial evaluating SENS-501, its gene therapy candidate being developed to cure a special type of congenital deafness related to mutations in the OTOF or otoferlin gene.
