Belgian IT company Crescent NV (OPTI.BR,0JEV.L) Friday said that its loss widened in the first six months of 2025, compared to last year. The company's results were affected by lower revenues and impact from discontinued operations. Crescent NV expects to achieve a positive EBITDA in the second half of the year.

On the Brussels Stock Exchange, the stock is down 3 percent on Friday's trading at 0.0062 euros.

The company reported net loss of 1.58 million euros in the first half of 2025, compared to net loss of 27 thousand euros in the same period last year. According to Crescent NV, pre-tax loss in the half-year period, however, narrowed to 983 thousand euros from pre-tax loss of 1.26 million euros in the year-ago period.

During the first six months, the company's turnover declined to 4.3 million euros from 4.4 million euros recorded in the prior-year period. EBITDA for the period came in at negative 330 thousand euros, wider than the negative 281 thousand euros recorded in the corresponding period of fiscal 2024.

Looking ahead, Crescent NV said that a positive EBITDA is expected to be achieved in the second half of the year, mainly due to higher turnover and improved EBITDA in the Solutions division.
