Eckert & Ziegler Radiopharma GmbH (EUZ.F), a provider of isotope technology for nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceutical applications, said Friday it has received marketing authorization in Japan from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) for its GalliaPharm 68Ge/68Ga Radionuclide Generator.
Novartis Pharma will handle distribution and safety information as the designated marketing authorization holder for GalliaPharm in Japan.
This authorization enables wider use of Gallium-68-based diagnostics in Japan through the clinical application of Novartis' Locametz kit for preparing 68Ga-PSMA-11, which has also been approved.
