Aviation Slips To Pre-tax Loss In FY25, While Revenues Climb

Avation PLC (AVAP.L), a commercial passenger aircraft leasing company, Thursday reported a pre-tax loss in fiscal 2025, compared to prior year's profit, hit by higher expenses, despite increased revenues.

In the year, loss before taxation was $9.72 million, compared to a profit of $30.05 million last year.

Loss attributable to the shareholders was $7.72 million, compared to a profit of $19.74 million over the prior period. Loss per share was 10.84 cents, compared to earnings per share of 27.71 cents a year ago.

The company's operating profit declined to $46.44 million from $83.22 million a year earlier. Aviation recorded unrealised loss on aircraft purchase rights and pre-delivery aircraft deposits paid of $21.64 million in the latest year, compared to a gain of $46.89 million last year.

However, EBITDA increased 20.3 percent to $107.06 million from $89 million in the prior year.

Revenue increased 19.2 percent to $110.10 million from $92.40 million last year.

Further, the Board declared an interim dividend of 1.0 US cents per share for fiscal 2025, payable on October 30 to shareholders on record on October 17.

On the London Stock Exchange, the stock was trading 0.31 percent down at 162 pence.
