Grammy-winning DJ David Guetta, multi-platinum artist Teddy Swims, and pop icon Tones And I teamed up for a new single, "Gone Gone Gone," a soul-pop tribute to the pull of toxic love.
The collab, which arrived via Atlantic Records/Warner Music, is a riot of shuffling drums, golden sax and searing strings.
The track blends a soul and pop sound paying tribute to the complexities of toxic love, characterized by its dance-floor rhythms and gospel energy, according to The Music Universe.
"We were fire, impossible to tame / Like oil in the ocean, no way to put out the flame," Swims begins. Tones And I belts, "Had a good bad lovin' in my heart / And now I need a sequel to the movie that we made."
"I only want you when you're gone, gone, gone / Playing like we're done, done, done / I love your game, drive me insane," Swims and Tones And I then sing in the chorus.
