Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA (DRWKF.PK), a manufacturer of medical and safety technology products, reported that its preliminary earnings before interest and taxes or EBIT for the third quarter were approximately 57 million euros, more than double the 24.4 million euros recorded in the same quarter of 2024. Notably, the prior year's EBIT had been supported by a one-off positive effect of around 10 million euros. The company attributed the improved earnings primarily to significant growth in net sales, while costs increased only moderately.
Quarterly net sales climbed by 10.1 percent when adjusted for currency effects, and by 7.6 percent in nominal terms, reaching approximately 833 million euros. This marks an increase from the 774.6 million euros reported in the third quarter of the previous year.
Order intake also showed solid growth, rising by 6.9 percent net of currency effects and 4.9 percent nominally, totaling around 856 million euros compared to 816.2 million euros in the third quarter of 2024.
Given the strong business performance and sustained high order intake, Drägerwerk has raised its fiscal year 202 outlook. The company now expects net sales growth between 3.0 and 5.0 percent net of currency effects, up from the previous forecast of 1.0 to 5.0 percent. Additionally, the EBIT margin is now anticipated to range between 4.5 and 6.5 percent, compared to the earlier estimate of 3.5 to 6.5 percent.
The full financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year are scheduled to be published on October 29, 2025.
