Data Modul AG (DAM.DE), a German maker of display, touch, embedded, monitor and panel PC solutions, Thursday reported an EBIT loss in its third quarter, compared to a profit last year, due to decreased sales. However, orders received increased from the prior year. Further, the company revised its fiscal 2025 outlook.
On XETRA in Germany, shares were trading 4.2 percent higher at 25 Euros.
For the third quarter, group EBIT loss was 2.1 million euros, compared to a profit of 2.1 million euros last year.
The company's group sales declined approximately 9.7 percent to 52.1 million euros from 57.7 million in the prior year.
However, orders received in the quarter increased around 4.7 percent to 51.4 million euros from 49.1 million euros in the previous year.
For fiscal 2025, the company now projects key performance indicators of -5% to 5% for orders received, -8% to 0% for sales, and -155% to -140% for EBIT, all as compared to the fiscal year 2024.
The company previously projected a range -10% to 10% for orders received, -20% to 0% for sales, and -80% to -40% for EBIT.
Data Modul further said it has assigned J.P. Morgan Securities plc to explore strategic options for the firm, including the sale of the majority stake by the majority shareholder.
